Recently, KKSY sent some of their S1 and S2 students to a new school, its name is Amus College. The Headmaster is Richard Oliput, who previously was the head at Joy school, where some of our students still attend.
However, Amus College has a much higher success rate. It’s run very professionally and located far away from a big town, so less outside distractions for the students. Students must obtain a special pass if they wish to leave the school premises, that way the teachers can easily check on students whereabouts. Apart from having a great Headmaster who promises there will be no discrepancies between their school exam results and the national results. Recently, Amus College managed to get 4 students scholarships, since there are only 1000 given in the entire country, that’s a great result. We hope our students will experience not only a good education but via the schools Matron, a woman of high standards who insists on correct behaviour, they will make us proud to have been able to fund and support their education.
Ideally, we would love all the KKSY students to attend Amus College but that will depend on how much money we can raise? If you would like to donate, please do so now via the button below. Every penny donated goes towards education, we do not deduct any admin. fees.
UPDATE: As of June 6th 2021, Uganda has re-introduced various restrictions, including the closing of all schools for 42 days, to try to combat their second wave of Covid 19.
